FirstEnergy Invests in Infrastructure

Just this past week, FirstEnergy said it would be spending millions for upgrades.

Every year, FirstEnergy Corp. announces how much it plans to spend on new projects for transmission and distribution for its 10 electric distribution companies. The companies form one of the nation's largest investor-owned electric systems, serving customers in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, West Virginia, Maryland and New York.  The company's transmission subsidiaries operate more than 24,000 miles of transmission lines that connect the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions. 

Just this past week, FirstEnergy said it would be spending millions for upgrades for Jersey Central Power & Light, Potomac Edison, Ohio Edison, The Illuminating Co., Toledo Edison, and more. Following are more details for a few of the upcoming projects.
