PSO and SWEPCO To Work Together To Restore Power Of Customers Affected By Tornadoes In Northwest Arkansas

PSO has appointed over 200 lineworkers, forestry personnel, support staff and additional business partners to advance the restoration effort.

Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) will assist its sister utility Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO) to restore power to the communities affected by tornadoes in northwest Arkansas causing extensive power outages.

Early assessment has revealed broad damage to the electric system, including approximately 300 downed utility poles. PSO has appointed over 200 lineworkers, forestry personnel, support staff and additional business partners to advance the restoration effort.

While approximately 19,000 customers were reported to be without power in the northwest Arkansas area, some customers in the Salina region in Oklahoma were also affected by the same storm and will be restored soon.
