AREVA’s Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Division displayed a variety of efficient and intelligent products and solutions with special focus on eco-friendly at the CIGRE exhibition in Paris from Aug. 25, to Aug. 29, 2008.
AREVA is committed to designing new products with reduced environmental impact over their life cycles, while maximizing the efficiency of existing products.
AREVA’s Transmission and Distribution division will present its new eco-friendly Vegetable Oil Power Transformers, biodegradable oil bushings and its SF6 management program.
Ultra-high-voltage capacities that enable AREVA to propose efficient solutions for environmentally friendly power transmission on AC and DC were also showcased on the stand.
AREVA’s energy experts were also available during the whole week to provide visitors with a comprehensive view of the company’s intelligent technologies including:
- The new GIS F35 170 kV 50 kA, which was officially launched on Aug. 28
- The intelligent IEC 61850 substation and the latest network management technology featuring new online stability solutions.
