Detect Launches Enhanced DetectOS Platform at T&D World Live

The new DetectOS platform offers a fast, customizable interface supported by a robust data quality program, enabling utility teams to manage the entire asset lifecycle—from defect detection to structural health tracking—more efficiently.

Detect will debut the newest version of DetectOS, its AI-powered inspection intelligence platform for electric utilities, powerline contractors, and drone service providers, at T&D World Live.

The release expands DetectOS from an AI defect-identification tool into a full asset management system. Utility teams can now manage the entire lifecycle of an issue in one place - find the defect, log the fix, and track structural health over time as inspection cycles accumulate. Findings are classified against a catalog of 258 defect types across 19 classes and ranked by risk, so engineering teams see the highest-priority conditions first.

The new version also brings a cleaner, faster interface that teams can configure to their own workflows. It is supported by Detect's hands-on Data Quality Program, which trains field crews and drone pilots on standardized capture so imagery stays consistent across crews, vendors, and inspection cycles.

"DetectOS represents a massive leap forward in how utilities manage their infrastructure," said Justin Lee, chief technology officer at Detect. "We've evolved the platform from an AI-powered defect-identification tool into a comprehensive asset management system. Now, you can manage the entire lifecycle of an issue, from finding the defect to logging the fix and tracking structural health over time. Supported by our hands-on and guided data quality program to ensure absolute consistency in data capture, DetectOS offers a cleaner, faster, and highly customizable experience that makes scaling your asset management effortless."

Attendees can see the new version in live demos at Booth 512 throughout the show.
