Farmington Hills, Mich., September 6, 2011 – Erick Rudaitis has joined Brooks Utility Products as Director of Engineering where he will direct the company's research and development efforts.

With a robust background in all aspects of mechanical and electrical design, as well as experience with integrated circuitry and communications, Rudaitis will lead Brooks' efforts to support existing products and the design of new Smart Grid products for future growth initiatives.

Previous positions have developed Rudaitis' experience with both the management and development of engineering teams for multiple companies with diverse design requirements. He began his career with General Motors and has also held management positions with SMC Corp and Q Straint.

Rudaitis earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Siena Heights University. He also currently holds five U.S. patents, with an additional five patents pending in both mechanical and electrical design.
