The International Lineman's Rodeo started more than four decades ago to showcase lineworkers' skills in front of not only the community but also their loved ones.
For many years, line families have cheered on the competitors from the sidelines, and children have had fun in the kids' area by riding the train, playing on inflatables and more.
To get the kids into the action, the International Lineman's Rodeo now features a Kids Rodeo, which is hosted by the Missouri Valley JATC and sponsored by Buckingham Manufacturing.
Here's what they had to say on Facebook: "Another fantastic year in the books! Nothing better than seeing these kids cheer each other on, compete with heart, and have fun safely. We love hosting this event."
This year, the three winners are as follows:
• 1st Step Apprentice (ages 8-10): Adda Thomas
• Future Lineman (ages 11-13): Logan Meyers
• Fastest Overall Aerial Rescue: Parker Schleiden
