Celebrating the Line Trade: A Look Back at 2018

Jan. 3, 2019
To honor these workers for their hard work and commitment, Transmission and Distribution World showcases linemen in our full-page Parting Shot department.

Through severe storms and long nights, linemen restore power and build infrastructure to power America. To honor these first responders and heroes for their hard work and commitment, Transmission and Distribution World showcases linemen in our full-page Parting Shot department in our monthly Electric Utility Operations section.

The following photo gallery is a collection of the images from 2018. Each of these photos is shot in a different location at a different company, but all the images share one common theme--linemen at work.

If you have a photo that you would like to submit for consideration for a 2019 Parting Shot department, e-mail Field Editor Amy Fischbach with the vertical high-resolution color photo, a one-paragraph caption and the name of the photographer. Please include details about where the photo was taken and what the linemen are doing in the photo. You will then be able to view a PDF of the department prior to publication in the print magazine. We look forward to putting your crew in the spotlight this year!
