Top Journeyman Team Wins a New Pole Trailer

White's Welding LLC and Line Gear Rentals will deliver the pole trailer personally to the top journeyman team.

The IBEW Local 1245 team not only won honors as the top journeyman team at the 38th International Lineman's Rodeo but also won a pole trailer from White's Welding LLC and Line Gear Rentals. 

During the Lineman's Expo, the pole trailer was positioned right outside the Exhibit Hall. In a few weeks, the company representatives plan to travel to California to personally deliver the trailer to the journeyman team of Josh Klikna, Dustin Krieger and Steve Johnson. Congratulations, Josh, Dustin and Steve!

Here are some features of the Model 24K Pole Trailer:

  • Length: Extendable length from 31 ft to 47 ft with six equal intervals at 32 ft apart. 
  • Width: 8 ft OAW with 95 in. Bolsters OAW (90.5 in. useable width.
  • Running Gear: Two 12,000-lb dual wheel axel with oil bath hubs.
  • Brakes: 12 1/4-in. by 5-in. electric with self-charging break-away system.
  • Landing Gear: 12,000-lb static drop leg jack.
  • Wheels: 16 in., 8-hole steel
  • Tires: 235/80R 16-in. 14-ply
  • Tongue: 8 in. by 1/4 in. and 10 by 1/4 in. square tube; telescopes on rollers and UHMW 
  • Frame: 10 in. by 4 in. by 3/16 in. and 8 in. by 4 in. by 3/16 in. rectangular tubing. 
  • Coupling System: 42,000-lb capacity by 2 1/2-in. pintle eye, adjustable in 2 1/4 in. increments.
  • Lights: Sealed beam with waterproof wiring in nylon tubing. 
  • G.Y.W.R.: 26,000 lbs.
  • Empty weight: 6,500 lbs.
  • Payload: About 19,500 lbs. 
  • Misc.: Tie-down straps, wheel chocks, safety chains, slide in tube stanchions with keeper pins
  • Options: 15,000 lb. axel, additional length, electric over hydraulic disc or drum brakes, extended storage area, custom paint color, additional toolbox and sliding stanchions.
