Listen to Linemen Stories on the Go with the New Line Life Podcast

June 4, 2021
The first episode highlights Portland General Electric's response to a major ice storm.

Due to the nature of their jobs, lineworkers are often on the go--traveling to the work site, restoring power or working long shifts. T&D World, which publishes the monthly field-focused Electric Utility Operations section, is partnering with its sister magazine, Utility Products, to bring the magazines' stories to life through a new podcast.

The Line Life podcast will feature new audio stories each month on topics relevant to lineworkers. The first episode, narrated by Danielle Blanchette, shines a spotlight on Portland General Electric's response to a major ice storm.

Our second podcast episode, which will be launched in conjunction with the June 18 Lineman Life enewsletter, will focus on how CenterPoint Energy's linemen replaced transformers following a historic ice storm. If you are not yet a subscriber of Lineman Life, visit the enewsletter page to sign up.

Also, if you missed hearing the new podcast trailer, which was featured in the May 21 Lineman Life enewsletter, check it out below for more details.

To participate in our new podcast, you can send a voice memo to [email protected] to record yourself talking about your most memorable storm moment. Be sure to include your name, title, company name and location.

We look forward to hearing from you! If you have any questions, you can email Field Editor Amy Fischbach
