GE Digital Offers Free Licenses to Utility Customers
GE Digital announced it was offering a 90-day free trial client license for its read-only Digital Energy Experience Web User Interface (GIX) for Advanced Energy Management System (AEMS) displays and Distribution SCADA displays.
According to GE Digital, the software enables the following features:
- Secure access – Authentication and Authorization via Active Directory Services (ADS) – from read-only displays, the status of the power system, and the health of the EMS/DMS computer systems —anytime, anywhere
- Remote accessibility from a multitude of devices (desktop, tablets, mobile) through standard web browsers (Chrome, Safari, MS Edge)
- EMS Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), SCADA SLDs, alarm lists, logs and a significant number of tabular displays are supported
- Existing displays can be leveraged, helping to minimize training and TCO (total cost of ownership)
- Modern HTML5 Web User Interface technology well aligned with existing IT infrastructure
- By enabling mobile workers, electric utilities are better able to ensure the safety of their workers while continuing to serve our communities with reliable and affordable electricity.
GE Digital is making available to all Habitat Application Automation version 5.8 or higher software customers a free 90-day client license for:
- Transmission System Operations and Planning
- Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs and ISOs)
- Market and Generation Operations
- Distribution Systems Operations and Planning
- Utility IT Integration
