California Wildfires: Snapshot of Utilities' Mitigation Plans

Utilities shared their plans for wildfire mitigation at recent workshops organized by the California Public Utilities Commission.

With the risk of wildfires increasing in California, utilities are taking a proactive and preventative approach. The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) required utilities to file Wildfire Mitigation Plans (WMPs) by Feb. 7, and at the end of February, the CPUC scheduled informational and technical workshops. 

The following photo gallery gives a look at some of the utilities' presentations at the recent workshops. Utilities took a deep dive into the risks facing their utilities and how they plan to take action to minimize the risk of wildfires in their service territories.
