IEEE has published an update to IEEE C37.015, "IEEE Guide for the Application of Shunt Reactor Switching." This is the first revision to the standard since 1993.
This application guide applies to AC high-voltage circuit breakers rated for shunt reactor switching and covers the specific cases of switching directly grounded shunt reactors, ungrounded shunt reactors and shunt reactors grounded through a neutral reactor.
The C37.015 was sponsored by the Switchgear Committee of the IEEE Power & Energy Society.
