Basler Electric, a designer and manufacturer of power control and protection devices, has unveiled the BE1-FLEX, a protective relay platform. This is the latest product in Basler’s BE1 family of digital protection devices.
As the electrical power industry, continues to change at an exponential rate, the BE1-FLEX is customizable both in the factory and in the field. Built on a platform with configurability and scalability, the BE1-FLEX can be adapted to solve several future protection challenges without ever having to be removed from its installation.
In addition to its flexibility, Basler engineers designed the BE1-FLEX with simplicity at its core. A large, color touchscreen with pinch and zoom capability, along with easy programming and screen customizations help the BE1-FLEX go from box to protection in minutes.
“While other companies offer different relays for different purposes, we developed a single relay for multiple purposes and we won’t make you go to school to learn how to use it”, said Seth Nelson, Product Line Manager for Basler’s protection division. “Our platform puts the power in the hands of the user to configure the device exactly as needed, nothing more and nothing less.”
