S&C's two-day Circuit-Switcher Workshop provides attendees with in-depth information and hands-on experience in the installation, operation, adjustment, and maintenance of the following S&C circuit-switchers:
- Type G through Mark VI circuit-switchers
- Series 2000 circuit-switchers
- Trans-Rupter II transformer protectors
Included in this session are detailed discussions of operator control schemes and a review of current field-advisory programs. A tour of S&C's manufacturing facilities — the John R. Conrad Industrial Complex — is also included with special attention given to the Circuit-Switcher final assembly area.
The workshop's primary emphasis is on circuit-switchers rated 34.5 kV through 230 kV. Attendees wishing to learn more about circuit-switcher models rated at 345 kV or 500 kV should contact S&C to make arrangements for individual discussion of these devices after the regular workshop program. The focus of this workshop is on installation, operations, and maintenance procedures; individuals interested in detailed training on the application of Circuit-Switchers should contact S&C to discuss training programs.
Over the past fifteen years, more than 2000 people have benefited from participation in this workshop, including individuals involved in substation construction, operation, maintenance, and engineering.
