Dodson Creek Solar Proposes Solar Facility In Highland County, Ohio

Construction of the facility is scheduled to begin as early as 1Q22, Dodson Creek Solar said.

Dodson Creek Solar, LLC recently filed with the Ohio Power Siting Board a pre-application notification letter regarding its proposed up to 117-MW solar-powered electric generating facility within Hamer, Dodson, and Union townships in Highland County, Ohio.

Dodson Creek Solar, a National Grid Renewables subsidiary, noted that the location of the proposed Dodson Creek Solar Project is being evaluated within about 1,462 acres of land in Highland County.

The company noted that the purpose of the project would be to maximize energy production from solar resources to deliver renewable electricity to the regional transmission system to serve the needs of electric utilities and their customers.

Construction of the facility is scheduled to begin as early as 1Q22, Dodson Creek Solar said, adding that the project is scheduled to be in service by Dec. 31, 2023.

According to a filing on the project website, the PJM Interconnection Generation Interconnection Request Queue Position is AC2-061.
