In an effort to keep workers and the community safe, Salt River Project invites construction workers, landscapers, painters and contract professionals to attend its free 2021 Electric Safety Workshop. The bilingual, virtual event is scheduled from March 26 to April 15 at srpnet.com/safetyworkshop.
It is a convenient way to learn how to stay safe on the job and around underground or overhead powerlines. SRP safety experts will offer life-saving information on the following topics:
- Tailboards and safety minutes
- Overhead and underground electrical safety
- Burn risk awareness
- Trench and road safety
- Arizona 811
- Step and touch potential
- Tree-trimming and crane safety
To sign up or learn more, visit srpnet.com/safetyworkshop or call (602) 236-2995. To receive a certificate of completion, participants must watch videos and complete a quiz by April 15, 2021. After finishing the quiz, participants will be entered to win prizes. Participants must be 18 or older.
SRP has been providing its Electrical Safety Workshop for more than 20 years to keep safety top of mind for workers who run the risk of electrocution if their bodies or any portion of their equipment comes within 10 feet of a powerline.
ADOT, Asplundh, Blue Stake and other Valley safety experts also provide training to help keep our community safe. Attendees are encouraged to attend the virtual event and share the recordings with co-workers.
