Collegiate Program Connects Students with Industry

The collegiate program is intended for electrical engineering students to learn more about the electric power industry.

The collegiate program is intended for electrical engineering students to learn more about the electric power industry and enable them to experience the excitement and opportunity the industry offers. The program includes a student poster contest, a student-guided tour of the exhibit hall and tour of Oncor Electric Delivery’s Technology Demonstration & Education Center (TDEC) – the most advanced microgrid in the nation. The collegiate program will also include a student luncheon followed by a panel discussion and Q&A around career progression, academic studies, consulting and R&D.

Student Support Program

IEEE PES will offer free hotel accommodations to a limited number of students who apply for this support. Please note that no funds will be available from PEEC to help with travel costs. You must be a current student member of IEEE and register for T&D 2016 to receive support from PEEC.

Student Poster Contest

Students are invited to submit a one-page (strict limit) abstract according to the PES template for conference submission. Abstracts are to be submitted online at www.wvuieeepes.org/abstractup.html.
