Lineman's Expo Exhibitor Launches Safety Containment System for Large Transformers

Visit Booth #123 at the 2025 International Lineman's Rodeo to see the new Tarptainer, a safety containment system from Andax Industries. The product is designed for large electric utility transformers or other equipment. It allows for minimal ground clearance and enables crews to maintain a safe distance from suspended loads to help reduce injury risks.

The Tarptainer can be placed under transformers or equipment with as little as 1 in. of ground clearance. The sides remain flat during positioning, eliminating the need for crew members to hold them upright while heavy equipment is suspended. Once the equipment is in place, the sidewalls fold up and are secured with locking corners. The Tarptainer's self-supporting sidewalls help prevent slips, trips and falls without the need for protruding support legs.

Available in three sizes with the largest featuring a 96 in. x 96 in. absorbent area, there is ample space for accurate transformer placement. Included webbing straps with buckles can be placed over the transformer so the equipment can be lifted and moved with the containment system in place. Custom sizes are available to meet specific application requirements.
