Avangrid Lineworker Wins Milwaukee Tool Prize Package in T&D World Raffle

Oct. 16, 2023
Timothy Schneider, lineworker for Avangrid/NYSEG in Bonna Center, New York, won a tool package valued at more than $1,000.

The International Lineman's Expo has grown over recent years, with lineworkers and their families lining up about a half hour before the show floor even opens. This year, however, the Expo was bigger than ever before, with expanded exhibit hall space.

On the first day as the lineworkers and their families came onto the show floor, they filled out 300 entry forms at the T&D World booth in less than an hour. The next day, nearly 400 attendees competed for a chance to win a prize package worth more than $1,000 from Milwaukee Tool

The prize package included the following:

  • An assortment of new pliers and screwdrivers manufactured in the United States.
  • New M18™ REDLITHIUM™ FORGE™ XC6.0 Battery
  • M18™ Dual Bay Simultaneous Super Charger
  •  M18 FUEL™ 7/16" Hex Utility HTIW.

Field Editor Amy Fischbach and her daughter, Lily, announced the winner at the Lineman's BBQ on Friday night. The winner was Timothy Schneider, lineworker for Avangrid/NYSEG in Bonna Center, New York.

Congratulations to Timothy, and thank you to all the entrants in this year's raffle drawing.

If you didn't get the chance to enter the raffle drawing during this year's Rodeo Week, you can fill out this form to be profiled in T&D World's Lifeline department. You also need to email Amy with a photo of yourself working out in the field. All profiled lineworkers in Lifeline will receive a similar tool package from Milwaukee Tool. The company ships the package to the winner to thank lineworkers for their dedication to the line trade.
