Milwaukee Tool, which is exhibiting at the International Lineman's Expo in Booth #207, introduces the 12-ton Kearney-style crimper with the latest addition to their growing crimper lineup. The new M18 FORCE LOGIC 12T Kearney Linear Crimper is said to be the fastest way to crimp, with fully enclosed high-speed hydraulics.
The 12-ton crimper’s linear design provides lineworkers with an optimized center grip for balance and maximum control. The crimper can be used one-handed, freeing the user’s other hand and allowing him or her to complete the crimp in fewer steps.
A 340˚ head rotation allows the crimper to be set up in multiple orientations and in a variety of spaces, such as transformers, substations and overhead applications. Designed for both left and right-handed users, the crimper’s enlarged trigger and electronic release button enable quick activation, even while wearing Class 3 gloves. Compatible with all industry-standard Kearney dies, the battery-powered crimper has a pull-pin die retention system for fast, tool-less die changes.
To ensure a full crimp can be completed, a pre-crimp battery check automatically confirms the battery has enough charge. Milwaukee’s Predictive Force Monitoring (PFM) constantly measures the linear crimper’s output force, delivering the fastest crimp speeds across all connector types and sizes, including stirrups, tension splices, H-taps and C-taps. PFM technology ensures full pressure is reached during every crimp cycle, and a green crimp indicator LED verifies full pressure was reached by the user.
Milwaukee’s M18 FORCE LOGIC 12T Kearney Linear Crimper is the fastest 12-ton crimper for 12-ton Kearney dies. A fully enclosed, high-speed hydraulic system is optimized for consistent performance from –4˚ to 140˚. Combined with a POWERSTATE Brushless Motor, weather-protected REDLINK Electronics, and Milwaukee’s M18 REDLITHIUM Battery Packs, this Milwaukee utility crimper provides users reliability in the toughest elements, keeping dirt, dust and moisture out. After reaching full pressure, Auto Dump technology automatically returns the ram, allowing users to reset faster when completing consecutive crimps.
As an additional benefit, the crimper is compatible with ONE KEY, which allows users to sync the tool wirelessly with their mobile device or desktop. With this technology, users can record and store data from every crimp made to create custom reports, track the timing and pressure of every crimp, identify a tool’s location and use integrated tool security.
