The International Lineman's Rodeo Week is a time for linemen and their families from across North America to come together to celebrate the line trade.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will not be able to have a live event in 2020, but we will still be sending out the Lineman's Rodeo News enewsletter starting in September and organizing virtual events during Rodeo Week in October.
Look for more special announcements soon about what we have planned for the week including prize drawings from Cabela's gift cards to a Jack Stack gift basket. We are asking linemen and their families to send in their recipes from the Rodeo and photos of their teams from past events. Submit your images and descriptions to Field Editor Amy Fischbach.
In addition, we will soon be announcing the finalists for the Top Tools of the Trade competition, which honors excellence and innovation for products in the electric utility industry. These finalists will be highlighted in a photo gallery in the Sept. 21 issue of Lineman's Rodeo News enewsletter.
On the Wednesday of Lineman Celebration Week, we will be focusing on training. Email your questions about lineman leadership, training the next generation of linemen and any other topic related to the line trade to Maximo Fuentes. He will then answer your questions on a pre-recorded Zoom call, which we will post on Oct. 14. In addition, we will share a PDF of his book, Leadership for Linemen, with our readers and newsletter subscribers.
