July 15, 2025 – NORTHBROOK, IL – Saf-T-Gard expands its renowned Voltgard® Leather Protector Gloves product line today with the availability of the new Saf-T-Gard® Voltgard® Dura-Fit™ Leather Protector Gloves. Utilizing a novel, modified pattern to better fit the curve of all industry-standard rubber insulating gloves for long-lasting wear and safety, the Saf-T-Gard® Voltgard® Dura-Fit™ Leather Protector Gloves take leather protector gloves to the next level and are made using a tough, premium grain cowhide leather to achieve greater durability without compromising flexibility.

Designed for use with Class 1, 2, 3, or 4 high-voltage rubber insulating gloves, the Saf-T-Gard® Voltgard® Dura-Fit™ Leather Protector Gloves are packed with a wide range of enhanced safety features, including a red, durable, split leather gauntlet cuff (Style VLP-516 has a split leather gauntlet, contour cuff) to extend protection past the wrist, an innovative action thumb design with an enlarged reinforcement to provide additional protection to critical wear areas, an adjustable Kevlar® strap and flame-resistant buckle to comfortably and safely secure the gloves to workers’ hands, and are sewn with a high-strength nylon thread for added comfort and protection. The Saf-T-Gard® Voltgard® Dura-Fit™ Leather Protector Gloves are also water-repellent to enable unstoppable use, protection, and worker productivity no matter the weather conditions.

The Saf-T-Gard® Voltgard® Dura-Fit™ Leather Protector Gloves go beyond the typical leather protector glove compliance requirements to meet both the ASTM F696-24 Design Standard and the ASTM F3258-23 Performance Standard and deliver a 39 cal/cm2 arc rating. Additionally, the Saf-T-Gard® Voltgard® Dura-Fit™ Leather Protector Gloves are tested to the ANSI/ISEA 105-2024 standard and provide superior protection against abrasions and punctures to permit the high-powered protection and compliance needed by utility workers, power and communication line workers, electrical contractors, plant and facility maintenance technicians, auto manufacturing/repair service workers, and electrical field service technicians in rubber gloving, hot stick, and various other high-voltage operations.
