Announcing a Call for Presentations for the 2026 Trees & Utilities Conference
At the Trees & Utilities Conference, utility vegetation managers and urban forestry professionals come together to learn what’s next in the utility vegetation management industry.
Last year, 1,500 attendees came to the conference in Knoxville, Tennessee. The Utility Arborist Association (UAA) and the Arbor Day Foundation now invite you to submit your proposal for the 2026 conference by March 10 to help shape the conversations at the Sept. 22-24 conference in Portland, Oregon.
The conference committee is seeking abstracts from researchers, industry leaders and students worldwide on topics related to utility vegetation management and the role of trees in energy systems. Specifically:
- Community Programs & Urban Forestry
- Education/Professional Development (Outreach)
- Environmental Stewardship (Pollinators, Ecosystem & Habitat Management, Water Resources, Reliable Energy Research, Biodiversity)
- DEI/Training/Recruitment/Workforce Retention
- Safety
- Industry Trends (Carbon Reduction, Supply Chain, Technology)
Notes on the Presentations:
- Special consideration will be given to presenters from utilities or those co-presenting with utility partners.
- Submissions are limited to a maximum of two speakers per topic, unless you are submitting for a panel format.
- Sales pitches are strictly prohibited. If your presentation is accepted and is deemed a sales pitch on-site, you may be asked to end your talk and could be disqualified from future speaking opportunities
