Portuguese transmission and distribution supplier Efacec, a unit of the Munich-based Mutares Group, won a contract to supply Spain’s large power transformers.

Red Eléctrica, the Spanish transmission system operator, granted the firm a contract worth $57.6 million to supply T&D equipment through 2027. Efacec will design, manufacture, deliver and provide support for a range of transformers for the Red Eléctrica high-voltage network, according to a press release from the company.

The company has already delivered a 500 MVA, 420 kV multi-voltage power transformer to Red Eléctrica.
