PhaseTrakker AP20 allows the user to achieve absolute phase ID and angle on entire systems in order to balance load and minimize line loss.

PhaseTrakker AP30 offered by EDM International allows the user to achieve absolute phase ID and angle on entire systems in order to balance load and minimize line loss.

The PhaseTrakker helps with correct phasing for system mapping and ensures that new substation connections are phase correct. It works on overhead and underground conductors and can be used without de-energizing power lines (120 V to 500 kV).

PhaseTrakker uses GPS technology to continuously measure voltage phase angles at both the field and reference units, compares the angles over a phone connection, and displays results on the field unit.

EDM will introduce the AP30 at the 2010 IEEE PES T&D Conference and Expo in April.
