The Southern States RLSwitcher, type RLS38T, is a high-voltage reactor switching device specifically designed for the unique duties of switching shunt reactors located on transformer tertiaries. Its unique interrupter design allows it to handle the high reactor switching currents at 15kV and 38kV while extending the life of the reactor by minimizing reignitions and their magnitude during switching.
