Hubbell Power Systems has revised the design of the 15-kV 200A loadbreak insulating cap. The updated design meets all requirements of IEEE Std. 386 and has the following features:
- Smaller and lighter - consistent with products being offered by others.
- Manufactured from 100% peroxide-cured insulating and semi-conductive EPDM compounds.
- An insulating cuff is standard.
- Available with an optional conductive cuff.
The new design is being phased into production this month. The current design will no longer be available after March 2006.
