Made in the USA, the new SEL-3360E Compact Industrial Computer from SEL features the Intel® Core i7 processor, a –40° to +60°C operating range, no vents and no moving parts.

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. has announced the newest addition to its compact industrial computer family, the SEL 3360E. The SEL-3360E and the SEL-3360S are industrial computers designed for extreme environments and small spaces. SEL-3360 Computers feature powerful processing power provided by Intel Core i7 processors. To ensure the highest reliability, SEL-3360 Computers support RAID configurations and use single-level cell (SLC) NAND flash memory. Up to 16 GB of error-correcting code (ECC) RAM provides ample memory for demanding applications. In addition, the SEL-3360E incorporates two PCI expansion slots to enable I/O customization.

The SEL-3360E operates reliably in environments ranging from –40° to +60°C (–40° to +140°F) with no fans or forced airflow. Built and tested to utility substation standards, SEL-3360 Computers withstand up to 15 kV of electrostatic discharge, high electromagnetic interference and shock up to 15 g.

“We are excited to add the SEL-3360E to the SEL-3360 family of computers, all of which offer a 10-year warranty,” said Dave Whitehead, SEL vice president of research and development. “SEL provides this no-questions-asked warranty to reflect the high level of reliability that we build into all of the products we manufacture.”

Out-of-band remote management features, such as Intel Active Management Technology (AMT), reduce the time required to service SEL-3360 Computers. Users can perform diagnostics, install software or operating systems and even reboot remotely via a cryptographically secure interface. The SEL Backup and Recovery Tool (BaRT), a unique system monitor (SysMon) and an independent embedded controller (watchdog) help maximize system uptime by alerting users to potential issues and minimizing operational outages when a system failure occurs.

SEL designs, manufactures, and tests all of its computers at its headquarters in Pullman, Washington. SEL-3360 Computers are cUL-certified, CE-marked and RoHS-compliant.
