Telvent GIT S.A. has been selected by the Taunton Municipal Lighting Plant (TMLP) of Massachusetts to upgrade its existing distribution management system (DMS). The upgrade will use Telvent's latest OASyS DNA (Dynamic Network of Applications) Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition technology.
As stated by Manuel Sanchez Ortega, Telvent chairman, "Upgrading Taunton Municipal Lighting Plant's DMS using Telvent's value-added solutions will provide visualization of network connectivity, as well as values of all system state variables (voltages, power flows, temperatures, etc) throughout the network. It will also allow TMLP's utility staff to advance their ability to analyze and report power quality data, ultimately improving operational efficiency and enhancing customer service."
