Entergy Corporation has gone into full production on a standardized work management and supply chain system based on the latest enterprise asset management (EAM) software from Indus. The company has implemented a single Indus solution at its Vermont Yankee Nuclear Station.

Entergy, a member of Indus’ Nuclear Leadership Council, becomes the first major user to transition entirely to the Indus Asset Suite. This EAM solution adds a services-oriented architecture to improve the user experience and simplify integration to external systems. Entergy can now fully exploit the power of tailored workflows and wizards that not allow end users to be more efficient but also reduce both the training complexity and time needed for the users to become fluent in their job roles.

Entergy, the second-largest nuclear generator in the United States, is an integrated energy company engaged primarily in electric power production and retail distribution operations. Entergy owns and operates power plants with approximately 30,000 MW of electric generating capacity. This initiative will provide a stable, predictable and common platform to allow Entergy to acquire existing nuclear stations, as with the recent announcement of the Palisades plant, as well as construct new nuclear generating capacity cost effectively, safely and with minimal risk.
