Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Orders 1.7 Million Meters

Landis+Gyr has won a major contract from BESCOM to supply 1.7 million single phase digital electricity meters over the next 12 months. BESCOM is one of the most progressive utilities in southern India and is responsible for the distribution of power to eight districts in the state of Karnataka, including the city of Bangalore, with a population of over 13.9 million people.

This latest contract follows quickly after the one million plus meter award announced earlier with WBSEDCL.
