Clevest has been selected by Commonwealth Edison for Mobile Workforce Management deployed as a secure private cloud-based solution. With ComEd, Clevest’s software has now been chosen by all of Exelon’s utilities for their AMI deployments, and is already in use at Baltimore Gas & Electric and PECO Energy Co.
“We selected Clevest based on the company’s impressive track record in the industry, including with our peer Exelon utilities,” indicated Greg Chiszar, Manager Materials and Logistics, AMI Deployment for ComEd. “As we undertake our AMI initiative, we’re confident that Clevest MWFM has the breadth of functionality and the flexibility we want to give us the overall program control we need for success. The fact that we can use the same mobile solution with already-prescribed workflows to manage the operations and maintenance of our new AMI infrastructure once deployed was also an appealing factor,” Chiszar added.
ComEd announced this week that it had installed its one millionth smart meter in its service territory. Their mission of installing nearly four million smart meters began in 2013 and, on an accelerated timeline path, is expected to be complete in 2018 – three years ahead of schedule.
