Southern Company Chooses BWise for Sarbanes Oxley Compliance

Southern Company has chosen software provider BWise to support its Sarbanes-Oxley compliance efforts. The BWise solution will be implemented at the corporate level and across Southern Company's regulated utilities including Alabama Power, Georgia Power, Gulf Power, and Mississippi Power; and its wireless communications and fiber optics businesses.

As a leading U.S. producer of electricity, Atlanta-based Southern Company serves approximately 4 million customers and has more than 500,000 shareholders. The BWise compliance software will assist Southern Company in meeting and tracking a number of Sarbanes Oxley compliance requirements across its corporate enterprise and numerous businesses.
