Its mission is to be a source of information, data and expertise in demand response and to provide a diverse forum for ideas and experience to be exchanged among policy makers, demand response practitioners, providers and other interested parties.
Cellnet vice president western region H. Ward Camp remarked, "I'm honored to serve as chairman of DRAM. Cellnet is focused on working in close collaboration with our utility customers, partners, regulators, and other industry suppliers to advance the objectives embodied in the demand response and advanced metering coalition charter."
Cellnet head of regulatory affairs Chris Hickman remarked, "In recent weeks we've seen record peak demand straining our nation's aging electric transmission and distribution systems to the breaking point. These events highlight not only the need for continued investment in power delivery infrastructure, but also the important role that demand response and energy efficiency should play in our national energy strategy."
