Macrosoft Inc. has announced its renewal of the Microsoft Gold Certified Partnership for its storm-center automation tool, Resources on Demand (RoD). This accreditation requires the highest level of competence and expertise with Microsoft technologies, and the distinguished few who achieve this level are recognized by Microsoft as its elite business partners. The certification of RoD follows testing to ensure the product meets the Platform Test for the Independent Software Vendor (ISV)/Software competency.
"We are pleased to have the current version of our emergency resource management tool, RoD, independently certified to meet the stringent testing standards dictated by Microsoft," says Jason Singer, Director of Macrosoft's Utilities Practice. "Large and small utilities throughout North America rely on RoD in an emergency to restore power and we understand what's at stake. That is why Microsoft's certification of RoD gives comfort to utilities as to its performance and reliability."
Numerous utilities are currently using Macrosoft's Resources on-Demand (RoD) to respond to emergencies. Resources on-Demand provides decision makers with the following: immediate access to restoration personnel and equipment information, live feeds from crew callout and other systems, estimated crew costs and expenditure tracking, the ability to manage crew lodging and staging site logistics, and real-time, snapshot, and historical reports. RoD streamlines resource management process in a single, central database, replacing manual spreadsheets and information processing.
