The Southern States CapSwitcher® is the first capacitor switching device specifically designed for capacitor banks. This special-purpose SF6 capacitor switch is available from 38 kV thru 169 kV for single and back-to-back bank applications. The CapSwitcher® uses integrated pre-insertion resistors in SF6 gas to reduce current inrush and suppress voltage transients.
