AREVA’s Transmission and Distribution division has recently won two major orders from the Delhi Transco Limited, for 220/33-kV gas-insulated substations to be installed at H.C Mathur Lane and AIIMS Trauma Centre in Delhi. Both turnkey orders include design, engineering, manufacturing, testing and commissioning of 220/33-kV GIS substation packages.
Delhi Transco Limited is the state transmission utility for the National Capital Territory of Delhi. It is responsible for the transmission of power at 220-kV and 400-kV levels and for upgrading, operating and maintaining the Extra High Voltage network. The existing DTL network consists of a 400-kV ring around the periphery of Delhi interlinked with the 220-kV network spread across the city.
The combined approximate value of the orders is around 1100 MINR (€17 million) and both are scheduled for completion by the end of 2010.
