The city of High Point, North Carolina, needed two short-length transmission circuits installed.  High voltage aerial transmission lines were in the congested substation area. So it turned to Kerite for an underground transmission solution.

The city worked with Kerite for HV Cable, engineering, design, and project management.

The project required less than 5,000 feet of 115kV cable. But shorter installations come at a high price. Kerite saved money by delivering the exact length of cable required. The project was brought to completion with significant savings, according to the company.
