Chance® has introduced the M3C disconnect switch for 15.5 or 27 kV with a 600 A continuous-current rating, plus 900 A rating in the 27 kV. The design installs like a cutout, its single EPS® silicon-alloy rubber insulator derived from the Chance Type C-Polymer Cutout. The M3C switch hot parts are the same as the the Chance M3 Hookstick Disconnect Switch, featuring loadbreak hooks, pry-out opening ring, positive-latching copper blade with silver-plated contacts, and NEMA two-hole tin-plated copper
terminal pads. Chance single-phase switches now include six distribution designations and three for station class applications.
