The Ohio Brass (OB) ANSI family (Normal, Heavy and Riser Pole Duty) of Optima arresters dependably clear and provide quick re-energization while providing crews a visual ID. Disconnector works on currents down to 1 Amp. No DOT shipping restraints required.
The Optima design incorporates a patented capacitor-graded disconnector into the insulated bracket attached to the arrester base. The low current end of the detonation range for the capacitor-graded Optima disconnector has been extended from 20 A down to 1 A. This assures proper disconnector operation even at very low fault current levels.
