    New facility will provide up to 275 new jobs

    Warrendale, Penn. — May 3, 2011 — Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. will break ground for its new heavy electrical equipment production facility in Memphis, Tennessee on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Rivergate Industrial Park.

    Mitsubishi Electric executives will join local civic and business leaders at the event to turn the first earth for the $200 million, 350,000-sq. ft. factory that will initially produce large power transformers. Construction is scheduled to begin in late spring 2011 to support production in 2013.

    Mitsubishi Electric Power Products expects to hire about 275 people, most locally, with recruiting set to begin this year.
