TransGard Introduces the Emergency Exit Panel

Feb. 20, 2020
The panels keep animals out of a substation and add points of egress.

TransGard’s new Emergency Exit Panels add additional points of egress from the fenced enclosure for personnel safety in case of an emergency. Emergency Exit Panels can be added to existing or new fence installation in your substation.

The new Emergency Exit Panel should be placed only as an emergency exit since the entire Exit Panel may be energized except for the push bar inside of the gate. These panels are equipped with 14 GAW zinc-coated wire mesh, providing 48 in. of vertical protection from climbing animals.

The new Emergency Exit Panels include the same quality and durability as the standard fence panels, and includes these features:

  • Durable extruded PVC that meets UL-94 V0 flammability standards
  • Patented hinge technology• Electrical connections using class 3 galvanized wire with a non-flammable oxide-inhibiting grease for maximum corrosion resistance
  • Interchangeable in existing fence systems with any 10-ft section
  • Installed with galvanized steel stands that are secured 3-5 in. in gravel: no postholes, foundation or concrete required
