George Simons is a senior product manager in Itron's Distributed Energy Management Group. His focus at Itron is development of advanced analytics for analysis and management of distributed energy resources (DERs). Simons has over 35 years of experience with analysis on DERs. He led major energy R&D programs on renewable and distributed energy. Since the early 2000s, Simons has led seminal efforts on analytic methods for seamlessly integrating DERs into the grid. Presently, he is leading Itron's product development efforts for managing EVs. He holds a BS in chemical engineering from the University of California, Davis.
