Kolleen Backlund ([email protected]) is a professional engineer with more than nine years of geotechnical engineering experience. She earned a BSCE degree from Washington State University and a MSCE degree from Virginia Tech in geotechnical engineering. Backlund worked for DiGioia Gray & Associates LLC for four years and is currently a project manager for Kleinfelder Inc. She is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and active in civil engineering outreach.
