T&D World is partnering with the Utility Arborist Association (UAA) to publish the 2021 Vegetation Management Supplement. If you are interested in submitting an article for consideration, please email Field Editor Amy Fischbach with your abstract by January 15, 2021.
Your abstract should include the following :
1. A one-paragraph summary of your technical article, which can be focused on vegetation management trends, technologies or best practices. In the past, we have focused on everything from integrated vegetation management to environmental sustainability.
2. If possible, please include the name, title, company name and contact information for the author(s) who will be bylining the article.
3. Offer ideas for high-resolution photos, illustrations, charts or diagrams to accompany the article.
If your abstract is accepted, Amy will work with you to prepare your final article for publication for the June 2020 Vegetation Management Supplement. The final stories, including artwork and captions, must be submitted to Amy Fischbach by March 15, 2021.
Most stories are between 1,500 and 2,000 words and include about five to seven high-resolution photos with one-sentence captions. The articles are typically bylined or co-bylined by a vegetation management expert for an electric utility or contractor. The authors will need to sign an electronic author contract prior to publication. The stories will appear first in print and then on the T&D World Web site. They will also be included in the Vegetation Management Insights enewsletter, which comes out on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
