2019 Trees & Utilities: Partnering for a Brighter Tomorrow

Sept. 10, 2019
The 2019 Trees & Utilities conference in Cincinnati, Ohio, connected vegetation management professionals for networking and education.

At the 2019 Trees & Utilities conference, 854 attendees from 44 states and six countries traveled to Cincinnati, Ohio, to learn about the latest products and technologies and best practices in the vegetation management industry. The event, co-sponsored by the Utility Arborist Association (UAA) and the Arbor Day Foundation, registered 500 attendees just one year ago in Omaha, Nebraska.

"I am blown away by the attendance this year," says Phil Charlton, executive director of the UAA. "It is a great indicator, and it's good to see people out learning how to do their jobs better in our industry."

Here are some of the highlights of the conference from Sept. 10-12, 2019. Mark your calendars for the 2020 event, which will be Sept. 15-17 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. For more information, visit the Web site

Also, T&D World is partnering with the UAA on the 2020 Vegetation Management supplement, which will be published in June 2020. If you have a possible topic for a technical article about utility vegetation management, please email a short abstract to Field Editor Amy Fischbach
