Reliant Energy has launched its Web site for medium-sized business customers in the state of Maryland. The interactive Web site will allow customers to get more information about available products and decide which of those options is the right choice for them.

Business owners will have the ability to view details and prices on four plans. After picking a plan, the customer simply enters service addresses and other business information. Once that information is entered, the customer will receive a confirmation indicating the switch to Reliant Energy is complete. The Web enrollment process is just one of the benefits customers will see as a result of Maryland’s competitive market. Customers can sign up quickly and easily, eliminating the hassle of a lengthy enrollment process while accessing the information needed to make an informed decision.

In May, Reliant announced that it would be offering service to medium-sized businesses in Maryland. These customers are identified as having an electrical demand of 25 kWh to 600 kWh; with bills ranging from $1,000 - $15,000 a month. Approximately 500 mid-sized businesses have taken advantage of the company’s competitive rates.

“Maryland consumers have stated explicitly that they value choice, and we are committed to bringing the benefits of competition to our customers,” said Richard Rathvon, Reliant Energy, vice president of marketing and energy sales, Eastern division. “This new Web site will allow customers to make informed choices regarding their electricity provider and allow them to sign up in a simple, straightforward manner.”
