Advanced Utility Systems has entered into an agreement with Chugach Electric Association, Inc. of Anchorage, Alaska, for the provision and implementation of CIS Infinity, its customer information and billing software.
Chugach, an electric cooperative, provides power for more than three-fourths of Alaska’s population and serves 78,000 retail service locations, billing its members on a monthly basis. Chugach has also provided reliable and cost-effective electric utility service to its members in Anchorage and the surrounding area for more than 63 years.
Chugach partnered with the consulting firm, Five Point Partners to develop and design a request for proposal that was released during late spring of 2010. The goal was to procure a modern CIS application that would maximize their customer service capabilities, provide long-term stability and accommodate technological growth. After a comprehensive selection process that included on-site presentations, reference calls and reference meetings, Advanced was awarded vendor of choice to provide a CIS implementation that would be customized for Chugach’s unique business environment. Chugach is now the second electric customer in the state of Alaska for Advanced.
The project is set for completion by the summer of 2012.
