Detectent has announced its latest software release, which focuses on smart grid implementations.
The software solution is designed to enable a rapid deployment of business intelligence and analytics for electric utilities that are either implementing or planning to implement a smart grid project.
Known as CustomerIP, this solution is targeted at investor-owned, municipal and cooperative utilities of any size and configuration, and delivers a combined set of software, tools and best practices.
The solution includes analytical tools that can be applied to monthly, daily, hourly and sub-hourly reads from any collection method—manual, Automated Meter Read and Automated Meter Infrastructure.
Available as a hosted or delivered system, and in the form of a software lease or license, Detectent expects to deploy six instances of CustomerIP in the latter part of 2011 and spring of 2012.
