Description
The ongoing energy transition toward decarbonization requires a digital first mentality to successfully enable grid modernization initiatives that manage the requirements of distributed resources, bidirectional power, and probabilistic methods of forecasting resource supply and consumer load demand. Utilities are working to define where the sources of value are, and what services and capabilities they want to provide to their customers, employees, regulators, and shareholders. Analytics-based technologies are required to augment utility workforce skills to ensure that they can support this evolving utility business model.

The partnership between Dell Technologies, NVIDIA, and Domino Data Lab has yielded a single enterprise platform with purpose-built functionality for each step in the data analytics life cycle. Domino’s Enterprise MLOps platform is a "system of record" for data science work that streamlines data science projects from inception to scaled deployment. This webinar will provide insights into the hardware and software architected by Dell Technologies, NVIDIA and Domino specifically for the demanding platform requirements of today’s ML/AI models in the utilities industry.

In addition, The AES Corporation, one of the world’s leading renewable energy producers, will discuss how investing in technology, people, and processes has accelerated the delivery of ML/AI to achieve business goals across a variety of use cases including predictive maintenance, energy trading, shipping and logistics, and more.

Attendees will learn the following:

  • Understand the key technology components that make up an enterprise class platform to develop, deploy, and manage AI/ML models
  • How this platform is helping utility companies overcome many of the challenges experienced in starting and scaling an enterprise analytics capability
  • How The AES Corporation rapidly proved ROI on AI/ML investments, going from 0 to 50 deployed models in 2 years by removing infrastructure friction, increasing collaboration, and improving management efficiency across the data science function.
